History of The Toy Man® Product Guide
Toy Man® Global News was first established in 1971 as part of The Toy Man® Product Guide. It started as a 38 page hard copy monthly publication available in a limited number of libraries in California. When the Internet started, The Toy Man® Product Guide moved to become an Online publication at www.childsafe.com; a website where people could find reviews about "ChildSafe" toys and other products, in addition to news articles and Online ads.
As time passed, The Toy Man® Product Guide eventually moved to its own dedicated website, www.thetoyman.com where it evolved over the decades until the server got hacked around 2022. The end result of server being hacked was the entire database and all backup data was corrupted and unable to be salvaged. It was decided then to move to a new dedicated server, get proper security of all data and have separated backups to ensure there was never a repeat of the past. |

New Domain, New Website, New Staff
After so many decades, only two of the founding staff still existed at this point so we brought on new, young staff members who held the same dedication to our same values and determination to build a new and better version of The Toy Man® Product Guide. With fresh new perspectives on our operation, the new team of staff were instrumental in helping us to identify new priorities to fit into industry needs today. This is where Toy Man® Global News was born. |

Toy Man® Global News is currently a work in progress. focusing on weekly feature news links, periodic articles both in-house and independent, press releases and other global new details. Product reviews and evaluation are now featured at https://www.toymanglobal.com, home of The Toy Man® Product Guide.
The Toy Man® Product Guide is where products are evaluated for possible approval to become a recipient of Toy Man® Seal of Approval and awards. All press related content now is published here. |

Designed To Evolve For Global Reach
We are in the midst right now of building a database structure unlike most any other toy industry Online publication. The design will have a structure quite similar to The Toy Man® Product Guide, but instead of having product reviews, the content will consist of articles, press releases and other industry data that can easily be searched through by category, sub-category, topic, title and a myriad of other search options, including country/region.
Taking this to yet another step forward, our content will soon be available in 6 different languages!
